Degree Programs and Admission Information
Prelicensure program for entry into the nursing profession. The BSN program is open to California residents who are not registered nurses. Applicants may be: SF State students, transfer students, or others who seek a second baccalaureate degree. Upon completion of the program, students are prepared and eligible to take the national licensing exam to become a registered nurse (NCLEX-RN).
Advanced placement for registered nurses without a baccalaureate degree. Applicants must be eligible for Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. Prior to enrolling in clinical nursing courses, must be licensed as an RN in California or be exempt by virtue of military status.
SF State/Sequoia Baccalaureate Nursing Program – This Program is in the Process to Change Name to Accelerated BSN Program and is Expected to Start in Summer 2019. Details Will Follow Soon.
Same as the regular BSN program but the SF State/Sequoia program is held at Cañada College in Redwood City, California.
This prelicensure program is designed for students who possess a non-nursing bachelor’s degree and are seeking to enter the nursing profession. Graduates will earn a BSN and MSN degree.
This two year full-time cohort-based program, which includes summer sessions, is designed for students who possess a non-nursing bachelor’s degree and are seeking to enter the nursing profession. Graduates will earn a BSN and MSN degree.
California RNs with bachelor’s degrees in nursing with specialty options in administration, adult acute care, pediatrics, women’s health, public/community health, or family nurse practitioner.
Post Master’s Certificate
This program is offered for California RNs with a master’s or doctoral degree in nursing and desire to become a nurse practitioner.
